Klus Apotheke is a family owned Pharmacy in the heart of central Zürich that is not only a standard pharmacy but also a Lab whereby they produce specific products for the medical industry distributed to hospitals, doctors and so on. They wanted to create a modern and simply website to engage their users and a private shop whereby their professional clients in the medical industry could order their products online.

The Concept

With their brand essence firmly imprinted in professional pharmacy at a production and lab level I wanted this truth to come to life in the design. The result was clinical an classical design feel with a modern twist.

This website is pure Swiss design. Beautiful typefaces, linear design language and a distinctive and clean grid create a flow that is essentially based on ‘less is more’.

The shop takes the tone of the clinical and functional design grid with a blue toned colour palette. The function meets form here was the key focus. Focus was on functionality with subtle design cues creating a project Daynes Creative is truly proud of.

Illustrations

The illustrations were the key that brought the simple design to life. In the pharmacy world trying to create emotion from imagery is always the biggest task to achieve. I went with a classic cross-hatch linework foundation coupled with a Japanese watercolour palette was the chosen style. We like it ;)
